Android smartphone manager that can transfer and backup data as well as send text messages on a PC.
SnapPea is an Android management application that has been described by some as the Android PC Suite. Though it isn't an official Android application by Google, it does provide many of the useful features that manufacturers such as Motorola, Samsung and Apple provide in their official software products.
SnapPea has two parts. The first is a Windows client and the second is the corresponding Android application. The latter will be installed on your handset once you connect it with the Windows application SnapPea. Once connected, you're given access to many different features, the most important probably being backup and restore.
The interface of SnapPea is very well laid-out. You're given several different links to sections on the left panel. They include the welcome screen (which shows you what you Android screen appears as), Apps, Contacts, Messages, Music, Pictures and Video. Below that main list are links to other optional apps.
From each section of SnapPea, you're able to access and modify different parts of your phone. The apps section allows you install and remove Android applications. The video and picture sections access to your own media libraries on the device and so-on. Managing content from these sections is as easy as can be and required little technical knowledge. The same goes for the music section of SnapPea.
SnapPea contains other sections such as Contacts and Messages are similar to the features offered on your device, but editing them can be done in the third panel at the far right of the interface.
While backing up your entire phone is not possible with SnapPea, it does offer you the ability to perform backups of messages, contacts, apps, media, etc.
Overall, SnapPea is as good as any other PC Suite for Android phones and tablets and currently provides support for the most popular devices.
